Skittles Mani

Happy Humpday!

I hope everyone is having a good week!

I decided to give advanced stamping a second go after really liking the results the first time and built onto my manicure based on that.

I started out with Cult Cosmetics Runyon on my index and pinkie fingers, and Orly You're Blushing on my middle and ring fingers.

Then I did some advanced stamping on my ring finger using Gals GA2 and filled some of the houndstooth patterns in with Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, Color Club Red-Ical Gypsy and Cult Cosmetics Runyan.  I clearly still need some practice on the advance stamping front but it turned out okay!  I then free handed the half moon to cover up some stamping imperfections :P

Using the same shades I added some dots to my index, plus some strips to my middle finger but added some blue glitter from a striper polish.

And to finish off the look I added some star shaped studs that I bought from the Born Pretty Store.  These studs are the perfect size for little finger nails and sat flat on my nail.  They're so cute!

Have a great day!

Christmas Stamping

Good morning!

Last Friday I ended up going on a pub crawl with my old roommate - it was Christmas 'themed' in that people wore silly Christmas hats and sweaters, santa suits, garlands.. I had mini lights wrapped around me - and holiday nails :)

My index and middle finger have a base of OPI Meep Meep Meep, an older beauty that I'm happy to have re-discovered.  I stamped using Essie No Place Like Chrome and Gals 27

My ring finger has the beautiful OPI Designer de Better with a strip down the center of Essie Ignite the Night.

On my pinky is Gosh Forest Floor with Orly Mermaid Tale and Monster Mash.

Fun mani for a fun night but it ended up chipping the next day, boo!

Happy Thursday ladies!

Cling Wrapping & Holo Stamping

Hi all,

Happy Friday!  We're supposed to have a super nice weekend here on the east coast and I'm sooo looking forward to hanging out in the sun :)

Just a quickie today:

This started out with a base of Julep Rose, which I wore alone for a little while.  But not being able to leave plain nails alone, I applied OPI Pink Friday on top and then used the clingwrap method to remove some of it.  I usually apply another colour using the cling wrap but decided to go a different route this time and liked the outcome a lot!  I found it had more of a marbled look.

Then using Ricki's Frosty Lavender (a color club dupe) I stamped the stripes using one of my Gals plate whose number I can't recall right now.  This was so pretty but I suck at taking photos of holo polish so the above picture will have to do.  Trust me when I say though that this does it no justice - it was much prettier irl!

Have a great weekend!  Thanks for reading :)

Bikini so Teeny Stamped

Hi all!

Happy start of the week :)

Shopper's Drug Mart has a new Essie display with older polishes, so I finally got to pick up Mint Candy Apply and this gorgeous blue polish - Bikini So Teeny.  I love this shade so much!

I then used Essie Penny Talk to stamp using a Gals stamping plate whose number I can't remember right now.  I wasn't a fan of this at first but it really grew on me!

Have a great week - thanks for reading!

Stamped Fowl Play

Hi loves!

I was doing so good with posting every few days and then I got super busy and something had to give.  Sigh.

One polish I find myself grabbing for quite often is Orly Fowl Play.. there's just something about it that keeps attracting me to it.. maybe it's the purpley base, or the flakies, I don't know but I just love it!

~*~*~

Here it is stamped using Essie Nothing Else Metals and Gals GA29.  It reminded me a little bit of retro curtains which I loved -- I wore this for 5 days which never happens!

If you notice, my ring finger has a red tinge, I wanted to see what it looked like over a red base and found it didn't make a difference so I decided to skip it for the rest of my fingers lol.  To the naked eye you couldn't see a difference :)

Hope you are all having a fabulous week, thanks for reading!

Dark Mix 'n Match

Good morning & happy Friday!

I'm kind of on this mix 'n match manicure kick lately.. I just can't get enough of them!  I look at all of my polishes and can't seem to choose just one or two colours so I've just been going with it :)

This manicure started out with me really wanting to use Orly Rococo a-go-go, which I put on my middle and ring fingers.  I then chose colours that I thought would complement it well, but truth be told I'm from from really knowing what shades complement what :P

Regardless, I chose OPI Suzi and the 7 Dusseldorfs and put that on my pinky and added Orly Can't Be Tamed for the glitter gradient.

On my index is one of my favourite polishes from the Hunger Games collection, China Glaze Stone Cold.. it's such a gorgeous matte polish!

And to finish it off I stamped my middle and ring finger using Essie Penny Talk and Gals GA30 image plate.

Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!

Bright Mix n' Match mani

Hi :)

I hope you've all had a great weekend, but that means we're back to Monday. Sigh.

Here's some fun nails that I did sometime last week.  I needed a little pick-me-up so I chose bright, happy shades and a "skittlette" manicure, made famous by the amazingly talented Marta from Chit Chat Nails -- go check her out if you don't follow her yet!

On my index and middle finger I have OPI Planks A Lot stamped with Gals GA12.  I have to say, these Gals stamping plates are SO much fun!  I absolutely love all of their designs.  On my ring finger I have OPI Fly with translucent purple-to-green shifting glequins that I bought on e-bay.  And my pinky has OPI Did it on 'Em and using saran wrap I 'sponged on' OPI Kiss Me on the Tulips.

I was so pleased with the stamping as well.  Finally!

Have a great day all, and as always, thanks for reading :)
