<br />
She's alive :)<br />
<br />
After being tipped off that Winners currently had some Color Club sets in, I drove my butt over there and <i>accidently</i> brought a few home with me, one of which was the new Poptastic collection.<br />
<br />
And since it's so beautiful the last few days, I figured I'd break them in and enjoy the last few days of 'summer' with matchy nails :)<br />
<br />

<br />
I'm so happy with how this water marble turned out. I avoided even attempting one of these for so so long because I was so intimidated. Glad I gave it a try though because, hello, amazing nails that I can't stop staring at!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I started with a base of <b>China Glaze Snow</b> and then used all 6 shades in the Poptastic collection; <b>Belle Bottom Babe, Foxy Mama, Kapow!, Not-SO-Mellow Yellow, Peace, Love & Polish and Right On.</b> <br />
<br />
As bright as they look now, they're actually much brighter IRL! <br />

<br />
I'm back! Albeit briefly as I am on holidays next week but for now I'll ease back into blogging. I've missed it :)<br />
<br />
How bout a little update?<br />
<br />
On June 28th, the man and I got hitched:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-idsLFN0LMEg/U-tavnfSiRI/AAAAAAAAFag/o_JxjwSC6Lk/s1600/2014-06-28-julie-0473.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-idsLFN0LMEg/U-tavnfSiRI/AAAAAAAAFag/o_JxjwSC6Lk/s1600/2014-06-28-julie-0473.jpg" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lQlJh5fVGJI/U-tawqQOMQI/AAAAAAAAFaw/q8bSl_AQ0Ng/s1600/2014-06-28-julie-0665.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lQlJh5fVGJI/U-tawqQOMQI/AAAAAAAAFaw/q8bSl_AQ0Ng/s1600/2014-06-28-julie-0665.jpg" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
It was a beautiful and insanely hot day. It went perfectly, but that's because I didn't care if things went wrong. If they did, I wasn't aware of them because I was just focused on enjoying my day :) <br />
<br />
Now that things are winding down, I'm trying to focus on my unfinished grad thesis. And trying to get back into nail art. I went months where they were either bare or just plainly painted, but lately I feel like I<br />
got my mojo back ;)<br />
<br />
That being said, here's a 'from the vault' mani that I did eons ago. And because of that I can't really remember which polish I used.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wjHfXoRep2k/U-taX4ClD3I/AAAAAAAAFaI/aDaQzqbo7F0/s1600/P1020359%2Bedit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wjHfXoRep2k/U-taX4ClD3I/AAAAAAAAFaI/aDaQzqbo7F0/s1600/P1020359%2Bedit.jpg" height="614" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
For the base on my index and middle finger, I want to say I used OPI Did you Ear about Van Gogh? but I'm not 100% sure. The leafy stamp is from the <b>Pueen Buffet</b> set, using <b>OPI AmazON, AmazOFF</b> from their Brazilian collection, which is also the base on my ring and pinki finger.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-soJ1HtA9DJM/U-taX8y8MbI/AAAAAAAAFaA/ARcW70fVE90/s1600/P1020363%2Bedit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-soJ1HtA9DJM/U-taX8y8MbI/AAAAAAAAFaA/ARcW70fVE90/s1600/P1020363%2Bedit.jpg" height="640" width="502" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UtqtZ5vtZZQ/U-taXxTsfwI/AAAAAAAAFaE/1IB0CC4ygyU/s1600/P1020366%2Bedit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UtqtZ5vtZZQ/U-taXxTsfwI/AAAAAAAAFaE/1IB0CC4ygyU/s1600/P1020366%2Bedit.jpg" height="596" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used <b>OPI Which is Witch?</b> for the reverse glitter gradient. Such beautiful glitter, my bottle is showing some serious use!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fWOdbumbtW4/U-taYqGOpII/AAAAAAAAFaM/IkIPuzyVAvM/s1600/P1020378%2Bedit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fWOdbumbtW4/U-taYqGOpII/AAAAAAAAFaM/IkIPuzyVAvM/s1600/P1020378%2Bedit.jpg" height="640" width="608" /></a></div>
<br />
As for the flowers on my index and ring finger.. I really can't even guess which polishes I used :/ I should really start keeping a log of each mani in a notebook, it would make life a little bit easier :)Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-72978794675143251092014-07-24T09:02:00.003-03:002014-07-24T09:03:13.936-03:00NPC's The Great Polish Giveaway of 2014!Hi loves!<br />

<br />
I'm a terrible blogger! I haven't yet found the balance between working full time, planning my wedding and painting my nails.. sometimes something just has to give, and sadly in this case it's been my favourite hobby. Boo.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gV2JwYEChEs/U1xpuxj2WTI/AAAAAAAAFVo/uG5vxElp8TQ/s1600/P1020312+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gV2JwYEChEs/U1xpuxj2WTI/AAAAAAAAFVo/uG5vxElp8TQ/s1600/P1020312+edit.jpg" height="640" width="620" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tAVLtg3jYCg/U1xpu5T9mQI/AAAAAAAAFVk/5OXMhf4ylh0/s1600/P1020318+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tAVLtg3jYCg/U1xpu5T9mQI/AAAAAAAAFVk/5OXMhf4ylh0/s1600/P1020318+edit.jpg" height="640" width="496" /></a></div>
<br />
How cute is this combo though? Gold and nude just look so good together!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TDyDjS4cSwc/U1xpu6eLOSI/AAAAAAAAFVs/8pY4NJbEJKg/s1600/P1020324+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TDyDjS4cSwc/U1xpu6eLOSI/AAAAAAAAFVs/8pY4NJbEJKg/s1600/P1020324+edit.jpg" height="550" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I started with <b>OPI My Vampire is Buff</b> and using <b>Essie Good as Gold </b>and an image from <b>Pueen-33</b> I stamped over my base.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TbXSOPC2bco/U1xpvhO40aI/AAAAAAAAFV8/JX_LNUXI220/s1600/P1020332+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TbXSOPC2bco/U1xpvhO40aI/AAAAAAAAFV8/JX_LNUXI220/s1600/P1020332+edit.jpg" height="640" width="566" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I added some small square studs to my ring finger, and used <b>OPI Honey Ryder</b> as a pinkie and thumb accent :)<br />
<br />
Hope you're all having a great weekend!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-40714115629240628092014-04-14T09:46:00.000-03:002014-04-14T09:46:13.835-03:00Grey and Yellow SkittletteGood morning!<br />
<br />
Here's a quickie post showing this cute mani that I wore a couple of weeks ago. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fjEw5LA91nA/U0vWCQV8C9I/AAAAAAAAFVE/8hM3T2TsONQ/s1600/P1020253+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fjEw5LA91nA/U0vWCQV8C9I/AAAAAAAAFVE/8hM3T2TsONQ/s1600/P1020253+edit.jpg" height="640" width="550" /></a></div>
<br />
This mani started with a base of <b>Essie Power Clutch</b>, then using the dry brush method I added <b>Essie Chinchilly</b> and <b>China Glaze Elephant Walk</b> to create a neat marbled effect.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VuNoKU2y5wM/U0vWDwzucEI/AAAAAAAAFVU/u9iVdnzKIAw/s1600/P1020266+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VuNoKU2y5wM/U0vWDwzucEI/AAAAAAAAFVU/u9iVdnzKIAw/s1600/P1020266+edit.jpg" height="640" width="486" /></a></div>
<br />
Then using <b>Color Club Dressed for the Parade</b> mixed with <b>Konad White</b> I stamped the zig zag pattern from <b>BM 423</b> on my pointer and middle fingers.<br />
<br />
On my ring finger is an image from <b>Mash 37.</b><br />
<br />
I mixed the white and yellow polishes on the plate itself, I covered the image with half yellow and half white and scraped a bunch of times quickly to mix the colours and make the yellow opaque so it showed up on the dark base. I followed a tutorial but I can't find it anymore.. if anyone knows who's tutorial that was please share!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3cu8sNFTEdU/U0vWCRf_rKI/AAAAAAAAFVI/2MxeYwDFShA/s1600/P1020261+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3cu8sNFTEdU/U0vWCRf_rKI/AAAAAAAAFVI/2MxeYwDFShA/s1600/P1020261+edit.jpg" height="610" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Then on my pinky I used one coat of <b>Maybelline Color Show Street Art - Green Graffiti</b>. I love these matte glitters :)<br />
<br />
Have a great Monday everyone!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-49970944278799465452014-04-04T09:45:00.000-03:002014-04-04T09:45:04.338-03:00Potential Wedding Nails #3Good morning!<br />
<br />
I hope everyone's had a good week! I just started a new job, then got sick on my second day there, and therefore haven't had any energy to blog, let alone turn on my computer!<br />
<br />
Here is another installment of my potential wedding day mani! I liked this in theory but I think it might be TOO bold? I don't know. The nails would really match my shoes though :P<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here's a really simple but super pretty combination that I wore for a dinner date with one of my cousins last week:<br />

<br />
How pretty is this polish match? It's so soft and dainty, perfect for the spring-like weather, no?<br />

<br />
Here's another mani I put together as my potential wedding nails. These are a bit softer than my first attempt but still have the added touch of colour that I want!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-au3wOzaZ8uU/Uy-Rlep9m-I/AAAAAAAAFS4/K7DRejfaR-M/s1600/P1020218+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-au3wOzaZ8uU/Uy-Rlep9m-I/AAAAAAAAFS4/K7DRejfaR-M/s1600/P1020218+edit.jpg" height="640" width="576" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xpKOjj42aK8/Uy-RlS9LjTI/AAAAAAAAFTA/U_6-KrAowhk/s1600/P1020221+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xpKOjj42aK8/Uy-RlS9LjTI/AAAAAAAAFTA/U_6-KrAowhk/s1600/P1020221+edit.jpg" height="640" width="478" /></a></div>
<br />
I started out with one of my favourite nudes - <b>Orly Decades of Dysfunction</b> then using my new Emily de Molly <b>EDM04</b> plate I created a stamping gradient.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fSrBA6w4OaY/Uy-RmLOYwtI/AAAAAAAAFTE/jlvgFBg4-KQ/s1600/P1020226+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fSrBA6w4OaY/Uy-RmLOYwtI/AAAAAAAAFTE/jlvgFBg4-KQ/s1600/P1020226+edit.jpg" height="640" width="532" /></a></div>
<br />
For the stamping, from cuticle to tip, I used: <b>Sally Hansen Insta Dri Grape Escape, Sally Hansen Insta Dry Emerald Express</b> and <b>Orly Royal Navy.</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xPNXjjNIyJk/Uy-RlFdTffI/AAAAAAAAFS0/JiyD8IzAEG0/s1600/P1020217+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xPNXjjNIyJk/Uy-RlFdTffI/AAAAAAAAFS0/JiyD8IzAEG0/s1600/P1020217+edit.jpg" height="570" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I would like for the purple to be a little bit more plum, and the blue a little darker but I think this is a pretty good contender. Not in your face but totally suits the peacock theme :)<br />
<br />
Any suggestions for a good opaque plum polish that I could use for stamping?<br />
<br />
I hope you're all having a great week!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-78337049529791321572014-03-24T09:00:00.000-03:002014-03-24T09:00:08.340-03:00Born Pretty Snow Flakes ReviewHi all,<br />
<br />
This post is kind of delayed seeing as we're now into Spring - however, we got a significant amount of snow on Saturday and I thought I'd pull these out <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/christmas-snowflake-1000pcs-golden-foil-metal-nail-tips-sticker-decal-slice-p-4494.html" target="_blank">foil snow flakes</a> out before it's too late. I got these from the <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/" target="_blank">Born Pretty Store</a> before Christmas but I just never felt inspired to use them until this weekend.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-s2uoxEuFLOg/Uy-PJCaupPI/AAAAAAAAFR4/8_CTC_pX4ws/s1600/P1020203+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-s2uoxEuFLOg/Uy-PJCaupPI/AAAAAAAAFR4/8_CTC_pX4ws/s1600/P1020203+edit.jpg" height="640" width="594" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rEwPz-iUhLk/Uy-PJBysV-I/AAAAAAAAFR8/VIU2IbgNh3Q/s1600/P1020204+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rEwPz-iUhLk/Uy-PJBysV-I/AAAAAAAAFR8/VIU2IbgNh3Q/s1600/P1020204+edit.jpg" height="640" width="500" /></a></div>
<br />
For this mani I started with <b>Essie Cocktail Bling</b>, which is such a pretty dusty mauve. Maybe a bit more spring appropriate but I thought the gold snow flakes would look really good paired up with this shade :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uriH4TdZh0g/Uy-PI7NERTI/AAAAAAAAFR0/cOcMqiMZ7IQ/s1600/P1020197+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uriH4TdZh0g/Uy-PI7NERTI/AAAAAAAAFR0/cOcMqiMZ7IQ/s1600/P1020197+edit.jpg" height="566" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The snowflakes are a thick foil like material that's super pliable, so to get them to fit the curve of my nail I rounded them by pressing them into a nail art brush wand. I never managed to get them to curve perfectly but it was pretty close! In hindsight I should have fitted them to my nail before I started to polish. At least I now know this for next time!<br />
<br />
These snowflakes can be purchased from the <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/" target="_blank">Born Pretty Store</a> by clicking <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/christmas-snowflake-1000pcs-golden-foil-metal-nail-tips-sticker-decal-slice-p-4494.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>, and don't forget to use coupon code UTL91 for 10% off of your purchase!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-64496617782344442102014-03-17T07:00:00.000-03:002014-03-17T07:00:02.408-03:00Spring Time Water MarbleHi loves!<br />
<br />
I can start to feel Spring creeping it's way in, finally! It'll take eons to get all that snow to melt but as long as the sun is shinning and I don't need to wear 17 layers, I'm happy ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-b_dYA2yJJZ4/UyZGqKKWHqI/AAAAAAAAFRQ/8m8TO9abo8A/s1600/P1020138+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-b_dYA2yJJZ4/UyZGqKKWHqI/AAAAAAAAFRQ/8m8TO9abo8A/s1600/P1020138+edit.jpg" height="640" width="574" /></a></div>
<br />
I was craving spring-ish colours, but I had no idea what kind of mani to do so I went for a water marble. It seems to be my go-to lately when I'm feeling uninspired. I still need practice but they're starting to look pretty awesome *pats self on back*<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Pk0w9qEnvTo/UyZGpdELTaI/AAAAAAAAFRE/clVnrP6dVIE/s1600/P1020142+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Pk0w9qEnvTo/UyZGpdELTaI/AAAAAAAAFRE/clVnrP6dVIE/s1600/P1020142+edit.jpg" height="640" width="454" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this mani I used <b>Color Club Dress for the Parade</b> (yellow), <b>Color Club Pucci-licious </b>(purple) and <b>Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet</b>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sGwShxqyT08/UyZGqEuyoLI/AAAAAAAAFRg/EOJVz4B3qik/s1600/P1020150+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sGwShxqyT08/UyZGqEuyoLI/AAAAAAAAFRg/EOJVz4B3qik/s1600/P1020150+edit.jpg" height="640" width="600" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then topped it off with <b>Finger Paints Asylum</b> to give it a little more depth.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ToDDzwQIp2o/UyZGppRLSSI/AAAAAAAAFRI/HKw2E-zuIcg/s1600/P1020146+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ToDDzwQIp2o/UyZGppRLSSI/AAAAAAAAFRI/HKw2E-zuIcg/s1600/P1020146+edit.jpg" height="578" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Now I'm crossing my pretty painted fingers for the warmer weather to keep coming! I try really <i>really</i> hard not to complain about the weather but I. can't. wait. for winter to be over. <br />
<br />
Hope you're all having a great start to your week!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-16697324589419529372014-03-14T17:34:00.001-03:002014-03-14T17:34:21.473-03:00Blue Swirls Stamping Hi guys!<br />
<br />
I was recently out of town visiting my guy who is away due to work, hence my lack of posts! But I'm back now and will get back into the swing of things :)<br />
<br />
Here's a little something from the vault:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-M2xQpq9H4NM/UyNmddwavrI/AAAAAAAAFQw/Z4xwM7Tvzos/s1600/P1010845+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-M2xQpq9H4NM/UyNmddwavrI/AAAAAAAAFQw/Z4xwM7Tvzos/s1600/P1010845+edit.jpg" height="578" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
It took me a while to post this mani simply because I don't like that accent nail. Accent pinky? Just doesn't work for me, I don't know what I was thinking, lol.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cwHmD1FnQkk/UyNmdquvsqI/AAAAAAAAFQs/oGOEp3I2a1U/s1600/P1010838+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cwHmD1FnQkk/UyNmdquvsqI/AAAAAAAAFQs/oGOEp3I2a1U/s1600/P1010838+edit.jpg" height="640" width="576" /></a></div>
<br />
The base is <b>Sinful Color What's Your Name </b>on all but my pinky, which is <b>Sally Hansen Satin Glam Teal Tulle</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Q6kNB-2Hnco/UyNmc2CfbHI/AAAAAAAAFQk/beaeoxZqgqk/s1600/P1010853+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Q6kNB-2Hnco/UyNmc2CfbHI/AAAAAAAAFQk/beaeoxZqgqk/s1600/P1010853+edit.jpg" height="640" width="386" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped using W203 from the awesome Winstonia 2nd generation plates using the same colours used as my base.<br />
<br />
Hope you all have a great weekend!<br />
<br />Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-11694992053249760122014-03-05T08:00:00.000-04:002014-03-05T08:00:06.370-04:00Potential wedding nails?Hi loves!<br />
<br />
I hope you're all having a good week so far! <br />
<br />
So most of you know I'm getting married this summer.. and we chose to base our colours around peacock feathers since I love jewel tones :) I've been brain storming mani ideas, and after seeing a post in the Adventures in Stamping Facebook group I knew I had to recreate it and see if it could be a wedding day mani contender :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ansTokoCsjQ/UxaBHGJKLdI/AAAAAAAAFQA/1mWVSPg4W40/s1600/P1020108+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ansTokoCsjQ/UxaBHGJKLdI/AAAAAAAAFQA/1mWVSPg4W40/s1600/P1020108+edit.jpg" height="640" width="590" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ctizBBjj-aY/UxaBFO44wmI/AAAAAAAAFPw/3wHOznFKThQ/s1600/P1020117+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ctizBBjj-aY/UxaBFO44wmI/AAAAAAAAFPw/3wHOznFKThQ/s1600/P1020117+edit.jpg" height="640" width="416" /></a></div>
<br />
I first started with a base of <b>Orly Dayglow</b>, then using a sponge I crated a gradient with <b>Zoya Savita, Orly Royal Navy </b>and <b>Zoya Veruschuka</b>. The purple of Savita shows up way better IRL, my camera kind of turned it blue. Boo.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Xtt3e-1Emk0/UxaBIL2conI/AAAAAAAAFQI/sI6Wk8sOyNc/s1600/P1020131+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Xtt3e-1Emk0/UxaBIL2conI/AAAAAAAAFQI/sI6Wk8sOyNc/s1600/P1020131+edit.jpg" height="640" width="556" /></a></div>
<br />
I added some sparkle on my ring finger because, why not? I added <b>Sally Hansen Twinkle Toes-ty</b>, which is an awesome rose gold holo glitter that I just picked up while grocery shopping :P<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qolZkcdDErQ/UxaBGJBi4bI/AAAAAAAAFP4/2RI6FcnBgrE/s1600/P1020115+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qolZkcdDErQ/UxaBGJBi4bI/AAAAAAAAFP4/2RI6FcnBgrE/s1600/P1020115+edit.jpg" height="600" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I then stamped the peacock feathers using <b>Essie Penny Talk</b> and <b>Pueen09</b>. I really like this stamp but I find the feathers a little too big for my baby sized nails so I'm hoping <a href="http://www.emilydemolly.bigcartel.com/product/edm04-stamping-plate" target="_blank">THIS</a> one will be better :)<br />
<br />
What are your thoughts on these? I really don't want the typical nude wedding nails. The only thing I would do differently is stamp in silver but.. I've still got 4 months to play around and figure that out :)Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-71772104800627920382014-02-27T07:00:00.000-04:002014-02-27T07:00:02.302-04:00Another Late Valentine's ManiGood morning!<br />
<br />
This wasn't a mani I was really planning on posting but I'm at my parents house for the week and haven't really painted my nails and so need to rely on older manis :P<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m3PmzcqMLGs/UwFgDVMzbNI/AAAAAAAAFN8/rJXVLxRNQ8k/s1600/P1010976+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m3PmzcqMLGs/UwFgDVMzbNI/AAAAAAAAFN8/rJXVLxRNQ8k/s1600/P1010976+edit.jpg" height="640" width="566" /></a></div>
<br />
I was on my water marbling kick when I came up with this look. My index and pinky were done using <b>A England Excaliber</b>, <b>China Glaze Hey Sailor</b> and <b>OPI Black Onyx.</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
These looked so cool but I had SUCH a hard time marbling with the silver.. it dried way too fast.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XquSIHNf9C4/UwFgAGShC-I/AAAAAAAAFNs/62FTU8HXLcM/s1600/P1010994+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XquSIHNf9C4/UwFgAGShC-I/AAAAAAAAFNs/62FTU8HXLcM/s1600/P1010994+edit.jpg" height="640" width="378" /></a></div>
<br />
For the middle and ring finger I started with a base of <b>China Glaze Hey Sailor</b> then stamped an image from <b>Pueen 35</b> and Konad Special polish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-p1HEYU1Shc0/UwFgBnQZV1I/AAAAAAAAFN0/wxF4VtRbT48/s1600/P1010982+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-p1HEYU1Shc0/UwFgBnQZV1I/AAAAAAAAFN0/wxF4VtRbT48/s1600/P1010982+edit.jpg" height="622" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I actually really liked this mani, but I only realized way too late that there was cat hair on my nails when I took a picture of it, lol. I tried to edit them out but my editing skills aren't really existent :P<br />
<br />
I hope you're all having a good week! :)Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-85834557699861421672014-02-24T14:57:00.001-04:002014-02-24T14:57:18.210-04:00Late Valentine's ManiHi all.<br />
<br />
Yep.. seems to be the theme this year, I pose 'themed' manis AFTER the holiday is over. They were pretty though so I'm not going to stop myself from posting :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SEbBtCWF6xs/UwFeu7kRj6I/AAAAAAAAFNY/TQfIFua8inM/s1600/P1020026+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SEbBtCWF6xs/UwFeu7kRj6I/AAAAAAAAFNY/TQfIFua8inM/s1600/P1020026+edit.jpg" height="640" width="570" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~ </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-c7bs75V9bZs/UwFete2X2sI/AAAAAAAAFNQ/zX1PLHQYhVk/s1600/P1020029+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-c7bs75V9bZs/UwFete2X2sI/AAAAAAAAFNQ/zX1PLHQYhVk/s1600/P1020029+edit.jpg" height="640" width="344" /></a></div>
<br />
These nails started out with a base of <b>Deborah Lippman Since I Fell For You</b>, a really pretty shimmery red, perfect for Valentine's.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qPYnLYd1cTM/UwFevvErqwI/AAAAAAAAFNc/g815crTd2Dw/s1600/P1020037+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qPYnLYd1cTM/UwFevvErqwI/AAAAAAAAFNc/g815crTd2Dw/s1600/P1020037+edit.jpg" height="606" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Then using <b>Rickis Frosty Lavender</b> I stamped the heart image from what I think was a Pueen plate (I need to start writing things down). <br />
<br />
I love stamping with holos.. such a pretty look :)<br />
<br />
Happy Monday!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-19723070494778296372014-02-20T07:00:00.000-04:002014-02-20T07:00:01.644-04:00Born Pretty Store Water Decal ReviewHi all,<br />
<br />
A little while ago I received these <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/sheet-stylish-mini-leopard-pattern-nail-water-decals-transfers-sticker-p-10261.html" target="_blank">water decals</a> from <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/" target="_blank">Born Pretty Store</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Mon7wJvAcuY/UwLKhvG-sKI/AAAAAAAAFO8/-quJN7hQKUY/s1600/P1020095+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Mon7wJvAcuY/UwLKhvG-sKI/AAAAAAAAFO8/-quJN7hQKUY/s1600/P1020095+edit.jpg" height="640" width="544" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bevHBK-JdMs/UwLKjLezOhI/AAAAAAAAFPQ/w-tthFlbHsE/s1600/P1020105+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bevHBK-JdMs/UwLKjLezOhI/AAAAAAAAFPQ/w-tthFlbHsE/s1600/P1020105+edit.jpg" height="640" width="588" /></a></div>
<br />
I absolutely love water decals. They're so easy to use, and I find them really tough too. I use some pretty sharp tweezers to get the decals off the paper backing and I've had absolutely no issue with them cutting or breaking.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--GM9exDIrOg/UwLKhF_LYSI/AAAAAAAAFO4/qGlqiMXxcoE/s1600/P1020087+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--GM9exDIrOg/UwLKhF_LYSI/AAAAAAAAFO4/qGlqiMXxcoE/s1600/P1020087+edit.jpg" height="640" width="490" /></a></div>
<br />
I even removed one of them after not being happy with the placement and the only issue I had was that a bit of polish lifted with it. No decal issue at all. How cute are these though? A super easy leopard print mani with a little twist!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-e5g4al1jIzA/UwLKiGcYffI/AAAAAAAAFPE/nzLj-tmttrE/s1600/P1020092+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-e5g4al1jIzA/UwLKiGcYffI/AAAAAAAAFPE/nzLj-tmttrE/s1600/P1020092+edit.jpg" height="578" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used <b>OPI My Vampire is Buff</b> as my base, then randomly sponged on some of <b>Sally Hansen Satin Glam Go Gold</b>, and then placed the decals on top. Super quick, and super easy but such an eye catching mani!<br />

<br />
While <a href="http://www.kelsiesnailfiles.com/" target="_blank">Kelsie</a> is away visiting her family, her blog has been taken over by other bloggers. I'm happy to say that I've been given the honour of being one of them!<br />

Check out my guest post by clicking on the photos below :)<br />

<br />
I've been feeling a little off my nail game lately but finally, <i>finally</i> felt like I was just "on" with this next look. I really love this mani :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XNDXGSkgUqo/UwFiFYWU77I/AAAAAAAAFOI/KG29kes7Sto/s1600/P1020055+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XNDXGSkgUqo/UwFiFYWU77I/AAAAAAAAFOI/KG29kes7Sto/s1600/P1020055+edit.jpg" height="640" width="586" /></a></div>
<br />
I started out with a base of <b>Zoya Odette</b>, which I got in my ipsy bag last week! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iCyVCwqehOE/UwFiF542QmI/AAAAAAAAFOM/jFEyqA6cDYw/s1600/P1020072+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iCyVCwqehOE/UwFiF542QmI/AAAAAAAAFOM/jFEyqA6cDYw/s1600/P1020072+edit.jpg" height="640" width="556" /></a></div>
<br />
Then using <b>Essie Nothing Else Metals </b>and <b>BM 422</b> I stamped the hexagons. Then using Konad Special Black Polish I stamped the "Love" image from <b>BM 412.</b><br />
<br />
Stamping is so funny. I love my squishy stamper, but it wouldn't for the life of me pick up the "love" image.. neither did my purple squishy (that I only have thanks to an amazing surprise package from <a href="http://copycatclaws.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Serene</a> and am SO THANKFUL!) so I tried the hard rubber stamp and it worked beautifully. Something to do with the etching I guess!<b> </b><br />
<br />

I hope you're all having a great week :)Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-88385957361900504092014-02-16T20:45:00.000-04:002014-02-16T20:45:13.600-04:00Pink & Green water marbleHi all!<br />
<br />
Here is my second try at water marbling. I used a bigger container this time and managed to get a lot of rings in my 'bullseye' and I actually like the way it came out :) Now I just have to work on getting all the nails to look same-ish!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-g7e2EvMn314/UwFa996xu9I/AAAAAAAAFNA/ABkzHwwsj0A/s1600/P1010959+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-g7e2EvMn314/UwFa996xu9I/AAAAAAAAFNA/ABkzHwwsj0A/s1600/P1010959+edit.jpg" height="640" width="540" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~ </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KO6P8-jyElU/UwFa9EPgc_I/AAAAAAAAFM4/Hg4I7Ue1SPE/s1600/P1010950+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KO6P8-jyElU/UwFa9EPgc_I/AAAAAAAAFM4/Hg4I7Ue1SPE/s1600/P1010950+edit.jpg" height="640" width="398" /></a></div>
<br />
For this one I again started out with a white base, then using <b>Color Club Twiggie and Mrs. Robinson</b> created my pattern. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-heabt3aOH-c/UwFa9Kr3HSI/AAAAAAAAFM0/fldWoL6X-PU/s1600/P1010964+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-heabt3aOH-c/UwFa9Kr3HSI/AAAAAAAAFM0/fldWoL6X-PU/s1600/P1010964+edit.jpg" height="604" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Just a quickie tonight.. I'm having a lot of fun with this watermarbling business.. I wish I hadn't waited so darn long to give it a try!<br />
<br />
I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend :)Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-10466884804890525672014-02-13T21:08:00.004-04:002014-02-13T21:08:49.708-04:00My first Water MarbleHi all!<br />
<br />
I did it! I finally, <i>finally</i> mustered up the nerves to try water marbling after my sister asked me about it. I've always been so intimidated by the idea of it but for my first try I was actually pretty happy with the end result!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wE0cDspBxh8/UvbxzxSl0gI/AAAAAAAAFLs/9MPfJjVPjOU/s1600/P1010930+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wE0cDspBxh8/UvbxzxSl0gI/AAAAAAAAFLs/9MPfJjVPjOU/s1600/P1010930+edit.jpg" height="640" width="608" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RIf62jipJeo/UvbxzNuP42I/AAAAAAAAFLk/tZv7HYmNKWg/s1600/P1010934+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RIf62jipJeo/UvbxzNuP42I/AAAAAAAAFLk/tZv7HYmNKWg/s1600/P1010934+edit.jpg" height="640" width="380" /></a></div>
<br />
I started out with a white base, then using <b>Color Club - Express Yourself, Puccie-licious, Lavendarling </b>& <b>Warhol</b> I created the bulls eye and just kinda of went shape happy having no idea what I was really doing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XU_oRecweb4/Uvbx0sNtKGI/AAAAAAAAFL0/3mh1gYZKhBE/s1600/P1010939+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XU_oRecweb4/Uvbx0sNtKGI/AAAAAAAAFL0/3mh1gYZKhBE/s1600/P1010939+edit.jpg" height="584" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I really liked these colours together! I made the mistake of not watching tutorials before hand though and I had no idea how to get a nice design so but! they still looked pretty cool I think :)<br />
<br />
Happy Thursday! What are everyone's plans for Valentine's tomorrow? My guy and I have spent all but one Valentine's day apart thanks to the military and tomorrow is no exception so I'll be getting together with one of my girlfriends instead :) I'm okay with that!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-21603179133401603382014-02-09T08:00:00.000-04:002014-02-09T08:00:07.353-04:00Peek-a-boo Music Notes Stamping<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi all!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
How is everyone's weekend going? I'm getting pretty tired of winter to be honest lol. I try not to complain about the weather since it's out of our control but come on! The snowbanks that border my driveway are legit taller than I am. It's time for it to all melt ;) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aSv6GmvVK7g/UvbuLBRTadI/AAAAAAAAFLU/_RZTHAKuIbg/s1600/P1010862+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aSv6GmvVK7g/UvbuLBRTadI/AAAAAAAAFLU/_RZTHAKuIbg/s1600/P1010862+edit.jpg" height="628" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is something I did pretty quickly the other week. It was initially meant to be for a guest post but I decided the quality of the work wasn't something I wanted to send in :P</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with <b>OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls</b> and stamped using <b>BM-411</b> on my ring finger and <b>Pueen-47</b> on the rest of the nails in Konad Special Black.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YQQad-asQNE/UvbuLj3OeKI/AAAAAAAAFLM/GRDlRb8oqh8/s1600/P1010864+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YQQad-asQNE/UvbuLj3OeKI/AAAAAAAAFLM/GRDlRb8oqh8/s1600/P1010864+edit.jpg" height="640" width="434" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~ </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6HbTiSTNmkg/UvbuLkwZjiI/AAAAAAAAFLQ/wesN4BS6VHE/s1600/P1010870+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6HbTiSTNmkg/UvbuLkwZjiI/AAAAAAAAFLQ/wesN4BS6VHE/s1600/P1010870+edit.jpg" height="600" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I then freehanded the V's using <b>Zoya Savita</b> and outlined them with <b>China Glaze Crush Crush Baby</b> from the Crinkled Chrome collection.<br />
<br />
I really liked this look but it drives me crazy that my lines aren't perfect and that I have no patience for tape mani's lol. So it didn't last terribly long :P<br />
<br />
Happy Sunday everyone!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-80623812852357250472014-02-05T15:13:00.001-04:002014-02-05T15:13:48.555-04:00Skittles Mani<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Happy Humpday!<br />
<br />
I hope everyone is having a good week! <br />
<br />
I decided to give advanced stamping a second go after really liking the results the first time and built onto my manicure based on that. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-09_MfTx0Lrc/UvJucgUWNFI/AAAAAAAAFKs/faxao9PVT-k/s1600/P1010815+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-09_MfTx0Lrc/UvJucgUWNFI/AAAAAAAAFKs/faxao9PVT-k/s1600/P1010815+edit.jpg" height="620" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I started out with <b>Cult Cosmetics Runyon</b> on my index and pinkie fingers, and <b>Orly You're Blushing </b>on my middle and ring fingers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-65pr9JHKuqM/UvJuc9wuhMI/AAAAAAAAFKo/QVtTPoJjWGs/s1600/P1010813+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-65pr9JHKuqM/UvJuc9wuhMI/AAAAAAAAFKo/QVtTPoJjWGs/s1600/P1010813+edit.jpg" height="640" width="382" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I did some advanced stamping on my ring finger using <b>Gals GA2</b> and filled some of the houndstooth patterns in with <b>Sally Hansen Pacific Blue</b>, <b>Color Club Red-Ical Gypsy </b>and <b>Cult Cosmetics Runyan</b>. I clearly still need some practice on the advance stamping front but it turned out okay! I then free handed the half moon to cover up some stamping imperfections :P<br />
<br />
Using the same shades I added some dots to my index, plus some strips to my middle finger but added some blue glitter from a striper polish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ChabfZjbmuk/UvJudU5PzUI/AAAAAAAAFK8/Ep8ounzo7vM/s1600/P1010811+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ChabfZjbmuk/UvJudU5PzUI/AAAAAAAAFK8/Ep8ounzo7vM/s1600/P1010811+edit.jpg" height="558" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And to finish off the look I added some star shaped studs that I bought from the Born Pretty Store. These studs are the perfect size for little finger nails and sat flat on my nail. They're so cute!<br />

Have a great day! I think my mani came out pretty cute though!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZNvrXJlAVzU/UuvvpsZpetI/AAAAAAAAFKM/DEM22lmSPrA/s1600/P1010817+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZNvrXJlAVzU/UuvvpsZpetI/AAAAAAAAFKM/DEM22lmSPrA/s1600/P1010817+edit.jpg" height="614" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I first started with a base of <b>Orly Ma Cherie</b> on my middle finger and pinkie. This is such a gorgeous squishy, juicy red. I then stamped the hearts from plate <b>Pueen-41</b> with Konad White, and added a second coat of Ma Cherie on top to created a stamping sandwich. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0rpYddvUqGU/UuvvqWgmEeI/AAAAAAAAFKY/h6pLpB6sf3I/s1600/P1010833+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0rpYddvUqGU/UuvvqWgmEeI/AAAAAAAAFKY/h6pLpB6sf3I/s1600/P1010833+edit.jpg" height="640" width="396" /></a></div>
<br />
On my index and ring fingers I added two coats of <b>Revlon Cherries in the Snow</b> and stamped with <b>Color Club I Believe in Amour</b> and used an image from <b>BM-H17 </b>on my index and <b>Winstonia-207</b> on my ring finger. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0vkWanRxnN8/UuvvpdlgQhI/AAAAAAAAFKI/Fo3tv3v5CtY/s1600/P1010825+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0vkWanRxnN8/UuvvpdlgQhI/AAAAAAAAFKI/Fo3tv3v5CtY/s1600/P1010825+edit.jpg" height="608" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I then stamped the image on my pinkie using <b>BM-H17 </b>also and the "Love" image from <b>BM-H16. </b>The holographic dots were done using <b>Gosh Holographic Hero</b> :)<br />
<br />
What do you guys think of Valentine's themed nails? Too much? :P<br />
<br />
Have a great weekend guys!Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-62898397437359233702014-01-27T19:56:00.001-04:002014-01-27T19:56:49.585-04:00Soft + Advanced StampingHi all! I hope everyone's Monday went well :) I had to shovel a whole lot of snow today.. bleh.<br />
<br />
This is a mani I did over the weekend - I was supposed to go to a birthday dinner so I started basing my mani on that. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TtT42y6aUck/UubwYK4qujI/AAAAAAAAFI0/onMc5hQgkjE/s1600/P1010766+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TtT42y6aUck/UubwYK4qujI/AAAAAAAAFI0/onMc5hQgkjE/s1600/P1010766+edit.jpg" height="630" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I started with a base of <b>OPI Skulls and Glossbones</b> then using the cupcake image from BM-H20 tried my hand at advanced stamping, which is basically leaving the image on your stamp, filling in where you want then while your polish on your nail is still pretty tacky, stamping it!<br />
<br />
This was my first try.. and it turned out only OK, but ended up working awesomely on my other hand :)<br />
<b> </b> <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G2dvEmaLg5w/UubwYXnFgHI/AAAAAAAAFI4/skvIbIK2JdM/s1600/P1010789+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G2dvEmaLg5w/UubwYXnFgHI/AAAAAAAAFI4/skvIbIK2JdM/s1600/P1010789+edit.jpg" height="640" width="458" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I had full intention of doing some double stamping and adding more birthday themed images to my nails but after stamping an image from Pueen-26 with <b>Color Club - Take Me to Your Chateau</b>,<b> </b>I really couldn't bring myself to doing it. <br />
<br />
It's such a soft, pretty look! I absolutely love how this turned out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JW-ABxqI7b4/UubwZBgLmWI/AAAAAAAAFI8/g8hVK56yCHc/s1600/P1010786+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JW-ABxqI7b4/UubwZBgLmWI/AAAAAAAAFI8/g8hVK56yCHc/s1600/P1010786+edit.jpg" height="564" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I actually debated removing the cupcake image since the birthday dinner outing didn't end up happening. And I find it doesn't really go with the rest of the nails but eh.. by the time I got around to change it the rest of the polish was cracking so I just removed it all :)Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-13969476641689270082014-01-25T14:41:00.000-04:002014-01-25T14:41:02.649-04:00Double Stamping over OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OP!?Hi all! Happy Saturday :)<br />
<br />
Just a quickie today - I decided to try some double stamping this week, something I'd never done before. And it turned out to be so fun!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vXeWJ0_npXI/UuQDcKqhNLI/AAAAAAAAFIc/9vNgRVyeLlY/s1600/P1010747+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vXeWJ0_npXI/UuQDcKqhNLI/AAAAAAAAFIc/9vNgRVyeLlY/s1600/P1010747+edit.jpg" height="616" width="640" /></a></div>

<br />
<br />
This look started with a base of <b>OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI? </b>stamped with <b>BM-414</b> (fingerprint) with <b>China Glaze Dress me Up</b> then stamped again with <b>BM-301</b> and <b>Sally Hansen Insta Dri In a Blink Blue.</b><br />
<br />
Have a great weekend!<b> </b>Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5379144229897801097.post-52267219550259772452014-01-21T16:18:00.000-04:002014-01-21T16:18:08.475-04:00Sparlky Reverse Gradient + OPI Liquid SandsHappy Tuesday!<br />
<br />
<br />
I hope everyone's week is off to a good start! It's pretty cold here today so my plan is to stay in and do some chores around the house - I'm too much of a wimp to venture out haha.<br />
<br />
So I finally decided to purchase some of the Mariah Carey holiday polishes the other week. I was holding off, teetering between <i>needing</i> and then <i>not needing</i> them. But then Nail Polish Canada sent out an email saying they were limited stock so I finally bought the liquid sands I was eye balling!<br />
<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
~*~*~ </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ysNOXi1IX28/Ut7AWDhgqrI/AAAAAAAAFII/zGRHWevHoKc/s1600/P1010728+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ysNOXi1IX28/Ut7AWDhgqrI/AAAAAAAAFII/zGRHWevHoKc/s1600/P1010728+edit.jpg" height="640" width="382" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I started with a base of <b>OPI My Favorite Ornament</b>. I love these champagne-y glitter polishes.. I actually went through my collection the other day and found that I have a few that could almost be dupes but aren't quite there.. I guess I'm just a sucker for them ;)<br />
<br />
I did a reverse gradient using <b>Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Rockstar Pink</b>, an awesome glitter polish gifted to me by my fiance at Christmas ;) <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6iLiHRm_zhs/Ut7AUfGA03I/AAAAAAAAFH4/9mDbcmFfUww/s1600/P1010720+edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6iLiHRm_zhs/Ut7AUfGA03I/AAAAAAAAFH4/9mDbcmFfUww/s1600/P1010720+edit.jpg" height="568" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
On my ring finger I used two coats of the AH-MAZING <b>OPI Kiss me at Midnight</b>. I didn't expect to love this shade as much as I did, I thought it was 'just' another blue textured polish but it's a perfect shade of cornflower blue that is unlike all other blue textured polishes that I have! I added dots in <b>OPI Baby Please Come Home </b>and called it a day.<br />
<br />
So sparkly!<br />
<br />
Have a great day everyone :)Juliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04258912365564234371noreply@blogger.com0
