I was in the mood for some serious cute and girly nails today. And after deep cleaning the kitchen, yesterdays mani was looking rough! So I set out to do some cute, lovey sort of nails. With Valentine's day coming up, all the more reason to, right? I admit, I certainly don't hate V-day, but I've also never really felt the need to go all out either. Last year the boy and I had take out sushi then watched a hockey game. Romantic, right? At least we spent some time together. This year he'll be gone doing military things, so I may as well celebrate through my manis, haha.
My first 'skittles' mani! I started with a base of OPI - Pink Friday, except for the accent of Revlon - Downtown, which is SO gorgeous.. it's a light blue suede type of polish, seriously pretty. My pinky has two coats of Barielle's - Elle's Spell, the ever so beautiful red flakie polish, my ring finger has Icing - Written in the Stars glitter layered on top and my middle finger has OPI Planks A Lot (stamped hearts) and Gosh - Deep Purple (the 'love' stamp).
For the index I used different sized dotting tools and OPI Planks A Lot & Revlon - Raspberry Rapture. And the stamp on the thumb was done using OPI Dim Sum Plum.
Cute, right? I love the Icing glitter polish.. I just wish I had skipped the accent nail this time around, it just doesn't fit in with the rest of them. I can't wait to do more V-day themed manis though :)
What are your plans for Valentine's day?
