Floral & Stripes

Hi all!

There have been some amazing floral nail art going around lately, so I decided to give it a try.  I hadn't done flowers in what seems like ages!  

When I started this look I wasn't sure just what I was going for, but I'm super happy with how they turned out!  On my pinkie I have a base of OPI Solitaire and dots are OPI Tifanny Case, both from the new Bond Girls Liquid Sand line.  My ring finger is China Glaze Electric Beat, and the purple flowers are China Glaze Gothic Lolita.  To outline and detail the flowers I used OPI Eurso..Euro.

 

On my middle and index finger I have China Glaze Gothic Lolita with flowers done using  Electric Beat and Eurso.. Euro.  A white stripping polish was used for the strips.

Spring Flowers

Hi lovelies!

I realize I've been a bit MIA.. I'm just starting to get over being sick.  Bleh.

This is a mani I did before the germs consumed me, I wanted something playful and girlie :)

 

I used Orly Artificial Sweetener as the lighter pink, and Orly Purple Crush as the darker pink.  I stamped with Essie's Go Overboard using one of the Bundle Monster plates.

 

I added a few small rhinestones to the accent nails, and filled the flowers with OPI's Need Sunglasses, NOPI My Sleigh's in the Shop and the two Orly used as the base colour.

I was so pleased with this mani, it was so light and girlie  :)

PCFSC: Small Flowers

Hi darlings!

Today's Spring Challenge was to do a mani with small flowers.

I wanted to do something quick while using untrieds, and it turned out decently enough!

 

This lovely yellow is Joe Fresh - Pineapple, and the blue is Joe Fresh - Cobalt.  I love these Joe polishes.. it took 3 coats to remove certain bald spots that the yellow didn't cover, but had I been more patient I could have gotten away with 2 lovely coats!

 

I them used a Bundle Monster plate and stamped flowers using China Glaze - For Audrey on the blue, and Color Club - Express Yourself.  I do wish the stamping was a bit cleaner, but it still looks pretty cute :)

Extravagant Flowers

Hey all!

I got my very first (and possibly my last.. way too expensive) OPI DS the other day.  I walked into a new to the mall salon and spotted a whole lot of them and picked up DS Extravagance.  It's so pretty!  So as soon as it was time to re-do my mani I slapped that baby on ;)

 

The photos certainly don't do it justice.  It was dark so it's just under regular lighting, and when I got home tonight I got sucked into getting dinner ready and by the time I thought of taking photos.. it was dark again.  It's just.. so.. SHINY!  It's beautiful in real life.

 

I did my accent using Revlon - Smoldering which is a pink/grey/green duochrome.  You can really see it under certain lighting and it's so pretty.  Then using dotting tools I made little flowers using OPI - Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not and Pink Friday.
